Drive Traffic From Your eBay Store to Your Website
eBay sellers often ask me how to drive more Internet traffic to their website and reduce their dependency on eBay. Funny as it sounds, eBay is the best tool to do this. eBay pays top dollar for top rankings with all of the major search engines. There are many ways to take advantage of this. There are __ simple steps involved: 1.Create an 'About Me' page on eBay with the main focus of providing a link to your website (preferably with a click-able button) 2.Make an auction template that focuses on sending buyers to your about me page. This is a higher priority than even selling the product listed! 3.Open a new or edit an existing eBay Store 4.Use the eBay store description box to feature keywords separated by spaces. Use all the space available. Do not use main keywords more than 3 times to prevent being penalized by the search engines. 5.Choose an eBay store template that hides the store description. Basically, your store description is used as keyword meta tags for your eBay store. Used correctly, you can make your store appear in the top 10 on search engines with no extra effort on your part. The goal is simple. Your eBay store ranks high in Google. People click on your store and get sent to your about me page. The about me page is the only place eBay will allow you to promote off site links. So you can then send them to your website. Make sure the home page of your website is informational and the main focus is not on selling products. Good luck selling! |
